It’s snowing on your WordPress blog

Want that cool snow falling effect on your WordPress blog?

This is one function that I discovered while I’m browsing the WP-Admin dashboard recently. (Maybe, I’m the last person who know this 😛 )

I just don’t know how it got there, maybe it was added automatically by WordPress via the JetPack plugin.

I checked for that special function also available for bloggers using WordPress.com.

So for those on self-hosted WordPress blog, you can enable the snowfall effects by going to:-

  • Settings/General/. Scroll down until you see the word Snow and
  • Tick Show falling snow on my blog until January 4th
  • Save Changes to enable the Holiday Snow function.

Now, go and view your frontpage and wait for few seconds after your page is completely loaded before the snow starts falling.

The snow will move from right to left and left to right randomly to show the wind effects blowing the snow particles.

You can also have the Holiday Snow effect by using WP plugins.

  1. WP Super Snow (Falling Snow, Customizable)
  2. WP Snowfall
  3. Snow My WP
  4. WP Snow Effect

Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year!
